Kids Bookshelf Must Reads: Dear Girl or Dear Boy

Updated: Oct 27, 2021

Dear Girl, or Dear Boy, by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

This book is an amazing keepsake for your own children or a beautiful gift for someone else. And I'm not gonna lie, my husband and I both may or may not cry almost every time we read this.

It's a simple and to the point book about all the reasons your child should fully love themselves and allow themselves to be perfectly imperfect and unique. It's lessons on how to respect ourselves and others, yet, it's written in a tone that is enticing for little ones to follow along. Often I find that some books with great messages have more of a 'grown up' tone or language which doesn't allow the children to get engaged.

It's good for all ages and definitely one to put in the memory box.
