I have found many great FREE and low cost tools + products. And I like to share. So in my best "Maui" voice from Moana...
You're Welcome!
Some amazing, free, life 'enhancing' stuff...

Insight Timer App
A great free meditation and timer app. Yes there's in app purchases, but you don't need to upgrade to use the great timer with custom alarm sounds, receive 100,00 free guided meditations, sleep meditations, access great music, sound baths, live events, meditations, yoga, breathword and so much more.

This is app is amazing. The good stuff is still free and it's my favorite!

Mindvalley
Mindvalley creates the world’s best programs in every category of human transformation (and now entrepreneurship). You can sign up for free and receive great insight from some of the best teachers around the world and free masterclasses or even pay for a membership and have full access to all their programs.
Mindvalley has introduced me to so many inspiring teachers + people.

Higher Self Vision Board
I am all about letting my subconscious do the work for me. With this app I added my images and a reminder goes off everyday to view my 'vision board'. The images scrolls too fast for your conscious mind to see with the intent to 'subliminally reprogram your mind to create the reality you want to live in. on a subconscious level. Creating this daily 3 second habit is not hard to do!

Gratitude App
This app is a guided journal and affirmations app. You can create your own affirmations and record your lists of 'gratefuls'. But even when you don't fully use it, you can take advantage of the Gratitude & Positivity reminders and have a mindful moment everyday when your reminder goes off.

Positive Parenting Solutions
This Positive Parenting Solutions program saved my sanity and perhaps even my marriage. All those in the audience who have wanted to strangle their partner due to disagreements about parenting, please raise your hand...I thought so - like... everybody!

So although I paid for this course, she does offer a free webinar with great tips and advice (with a course discount code for watching the video). However, it was the best money I ever spent and I have since saved so much money on wine, that the course has basically paid for itself.

BUT, if you go to her Blog here, you will find access to tons of free parenting tips & advice.

Brush Your Teeth 'Magic Timer'
Who feels like bedtime routine can be a form of ancient torture??? Um, every parent, oh yeah, that's right...EVERY parent.
Well, make your routine easier with this glorious 'time to brush your teeth' timer I discovered. Why not make a bit of screen time work in your favor?
The kids get to pick a Disney character and the timer counts down for two minutes (with a switch sides reminder) and the kids get to wait and watch while a picture of their favorite character is revealed. A new picture every time and they can collect them in a sticker book to see what they have achieved.
I'm not about over rewarding children for all the basic things that they should do...but to avoid a Mommy Meltdown at bedtime, I think this app is f*cking essential!

Big Life Journal
The Big Life Journal site is amazing and the blog is full of amazing parenting tools, tips an skills. If you sign up you get free weekly printable and tips for your kids and you. It's all about teaching our kids a growth mindset, resilience, confidence and more - and sells amazing packages, workbooks and journals to help our children realize their abilities and grow to be amazing humans.

Yoga with Adriene
I think I dedicate my love for yoga to Adriene. Yoga with Adriene was one of the first to start offering full, free yoga videos on YouTube and now is a ginormous success with over 9 million subscribers. She has over 500 free videos for any type of yoga you can think of and her quirky personality makes doing yoga a lot more 'easy'.

With '30 Day Yoga Journey's' (as she doesn't like the word challenge - and easily-discouraged folks like me appreciate that), detox yoga, office yoga, yoga for weight loss, yoga for stress & anxiety, morning yoga, evening yoga, 10 minute yoga, 50 minute yoga...you name it, she has it.

Pull out your mat in the comforts of your own home and indulge in the hundreds of awesome video from Yoga with Adriene. You will thank me, I promsie.

Libby: Your Public Library App
Um did you say free eBooks + Audiobooks? Yes, my friend, I did!
This specific app, Libby, may not apply to your city. But most Public Libraries have free apps for you to digitally borrow eBooks and Audiobooks as usual....FOR FREE. So while apps like Audible and Kindle are great, why not see if they are available for free, on your smartphone, by using your regular ol' library card.

This Healthy Mom: Caitlyn Vanderhaeghe
We hopefully all have a mom friend, or a 'mom guru' as I like to call her, who we look up to and who offers actual useful advice with no judgment. But if you don't have one, I'll share mine, her name is Caitlyn Vanderhaeghe and she's awesome. I knew her before she become a successful blogger and Founder/ President + CEO of KidStar Nutrients. Luckily for me she started having babies before me - so she was the test pilot of parenting. She was my 'go-to' mama for any questions I had and it also helped that her main objective was raising healthy, tiny humans.
Follow her for great healthy tips + advice.

TED Tallks: Ideas Worth Spreading
I'm sure you've heard of TED Talks but if you don't have this app I can gurantee when there are moments of automatical gravnitational pull of your hand to your smartphone, you are opening social media apps purely out of habit and boredom. Why not replace that habit with watching some great, short, powerful talks which are always great ideas worth spreading!

With such a huge, diverse range of topics from: body language, relationships, parenting, how the brain works, neuroscience, business, creativity, great discovers, environment, glaciers, technolgoy, psychology, nature, natural disasters, the universe and more...I'm sure there's something that will peak your interest.

Be educated and inspired!

Tarot Card Reading App
Did you just say Tarot Card Reading App Jenny? Well....yes I did. For some I may lose some credibility by recommending such 'woo-woo' things, but for others you may be silently shouting "hallelujah'. For the latter folks, enjoy this free app which gives access to 'Daily Tarot Cards', 'Yes/No Cards', 1 Card, 3 Cards and Full Deck - 10 Card spreads.

And for those who think that Tarot Card Reading is only for the hippie folks, I double-dog-dare you to try this free app and tell me tomorrow what you think!

Dr. Brené Brown
So, if you have frequented my site you will know that Brené Brown and me are like besties*. And if you don't know who she is, or haven't seen her Ted Talk on the power of vulnerably, or read one of her [at least a dozen] books, or seen her on Oprah OR seen her Netflix special, then now you know her name: BRENE BROWN.
It's a super important name that packs a lot of wisdom 'punch' to it. So you can start by visiting her site and exploring all her wisdom and the goodness she brings to this world.

If you have any questions, you can ask me, her best friend*.

*full disclosure - me and Brené are more 'fictional' best friends, than real best friends. But if she met me I know she would feel the same, that we are kindred spirits and we would probably be inseparable from that moment on. Just sayin'.

Parent Countdown Timer App
A countdown timer app is essential for parents and kids.
But me first...I use a countdown timer app to do a 'magic clean'. I set the timer for 10 or 20 minutes and I hustle and clean as much as I can. What gets done gets done and what doesn't, well there's always tomorrow. And it's like a mini work out as you work against the clock!

And for kids...it's a visual timer so they can see what 5 minutes actually looks and feels like (not the elusive 5 mommy minutes where that actually ends up being like 20 minutes). And when the music stops and the timer goes off...the parent is not the 'bad guy' it's the timers fault.

A countdown timer is an essential parenting tool, or really an essential 'human tool'.
